Building a Community Strengthening the City Community Partner Groups and Social
Clubs are U 1 2?
It doesn't matter who you are or who you love. Your welcome here.
The new creative pulse in Queer West End of The City is amazing and growing stronger!. For years and years, there was nothing for the gay, lesbian, bisexual or trans residents in the west end of the City of Toronto and surrounding urban areas. Many of us were tired of the long trip downtown and many more were leaving the city core and moving into our neighbourhoods, looking for things to do. Starting in year 2000, a few brave ordinary gay and lesbian community people started their own clubs and groups. Gay West Community Network is the parent organization. Why not get our village enewsletter. It's free! Gay West Community Network serves: High Park,
Parkdale, Davenport, and Trinity Bellwoods neighbourhoods.
Mission - consistent each year. To work with community partners who share our vision of creating a sense of community and to promote acceptance and understanding among lesbians, bisexuals, gay men intersex, transsexuals, transgendered and questioning individuals, in west Toronto Ontario. We believe in the right of each community partner to self-direction, and value all groups regardless of their size, services or programs.

Where? To date, we have two branches throughout the province and are dedicated to continued growth. One branch located in the heart of Toronto and the other in Central Ontario, we hope to serve you more efficiently. Why? Our focus is in working towards the formation of an Ontario Gay & Lesbian Professional Golf Association (OGLPGA). This member body will compete on all levels, to include national and international events. As well, we hope to send our best golfers to future world class events such as the Gay Games. What? OUTabound Golf is a non-profit league. This means that most of our funds a returned to our members in the form of prizes and awards etc. We encourage golfers of all skill levels - beginner to expert - to participate. OUTabound Golf is both “friendly” and “relaxed“. While we are both a “recreational” and “competitive” league, we strongly encourage scorekeeping so that players can easily identify the weaker aspects of their game and improve their overall scores. Aside from course games, events, and tournaments, OUTabound Golf also has a less serious and social side. Throughout the year we host a series of “fun events”, like our Annual Awards Banquet, Wine & Cheese Party, and BBQ - just to name a few. When? Our golf league season commences in early April each year with a Spring Membership Campaign. Our season concludes with our Awards Banquet in late September. That is six months in total. Email Address:info@outaboundgolf.com Feel free to visit our “Events” section for more detailed information. New Website:outaboundgolf.com OUTABOUND is a sports partner of Gay West Community Network.
