Press Release January 1, 2001

Gay West Community Network Launches Its Web Site for Online Gay Resources in Toronto Ontario

Toronto Ontario – January 1, 2001 – Gay West Community Network launches its official web site, (www.gaywest.905host.net), which offers the most complete online resource guide in the Toronto area, serving the Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian and Transgendered Communities. In addition, Gay West Community Network is providing and developing other services to help the community, including classified listings; personal ads; information about what's happening in Toronto; shopping links that help support Toronto West area gay service-oriented charities and nonprofits; useful travel information.

Gay West Community Network was envisioned and is being developed with the primary objective of better serving the needs of the Toronto West region’s gay community and those interested in that community’s resources, programs and activities. As step one in achieving that goal, the new website offers a clearinghouse of information for the community’s resources – and, more importantly, Gay West Community Network provides that information in an interactive, online, searchable and shareable format.

In the upcoming years, Gay West Community Network will be seeking opportunities to partner with many of Toronto's west end area’s gay resources to better serve the community, will continue developing and enhancing the web site to make information easily accessible to all interested persons, and will seek feedback from its users on other areas for development to further extend its network of information to continue reaching out to all members of the area’s Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian and Transgendered Communities.

Gay West Community Network is based in the West Toronto Ontario For additional information on Gay West Community Network or the services that they offer visit their Web site at http://gaywest.905host.net
